Little Eyes International is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization based in Arizona. As pediatric eye care providers, our goal is to offer optical, clinical, and surgical eye care services to underserved children in Arizona and Mexico. Our mission is to prevent and cure childhood blindness in patients from all socioeconomic backgrounds.
Globally, there is a shortage of pediatric ophthalmologists and optometrists. The shortage of adequate eye care providers limits access for underserved children who are uninsured or underinsured to receive the health care they need to prevent abnormal visual development.
OneSight partnered with Deloitte to conduct an extensive study and determined that 1.1 billion people worldwide suffer from vision loss and lack access to vision care. For all of them, vision can be restored with a simple pair of glasses.
According to the American Academy of Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus 19 million children worldwide are visually impaired and 80% of visual impairment can be prevented or cured.
